dc.description.abstractWhile many tools exist to help the visually disabled navigate, there are very few designed for social situations. Recent advancements in the field of facial recognition offer the opportunity to change that. This thesis begins a study of the human computer interaction challenges of developing usable interfaces for visual social aides.
