dc.description.abstractWe have demonstrated sub-100 ps jitter operation of a pressurized high-voltage air spark gap triggered by a femtosecond Ti:Sapphire laser. Time delay statistical fluctuations with a standard deviation as low as +-σ=0.037 ns were obtained.
