The preliminary operation of the Acid Leach - CCD – Solvent Extraction Pilot Plant at Grand Junction, Colorado, was conducted from November 8, 1956 to January 3, 1957 using White Canyon ores. The report contains information on the grinding, leaching, and liquid-solid separation by continuous countercurrent decantation. Detailed information is presented on the liquid-liquid solvent extraction of the leach liquor using organic solvents containing di-2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid or triisooctyl amine.
