Interim Report on Diamond Drill Exploration and Plans for Additional Drilling in the Long Park Area, Montrose County, Colorado April 1953

INTRODUCTION : The Long Park area includes most of T. 47 N., and a small part of the northeastern corner of T. 46 N., R. 17 W., New Mexico principal meridian, Montrose County Colorado. The area is mostly public land but includes Government-leased ground and 186 privately owned claims. This report summarizes the results of the survey exploration through February 23, 1953, and outlines the plans for additional drilling that is now underway. The geology and uranium-vanadium bearing deposits of the Long Park area have been described previously.
