INTRODUCTION : The Jo Dandy area is on the southwest side of Paradox Valley and about 10 miles southeast of Bedrock, Montrose County, Colorado. It is accessible by an improved road that connects with Colorado Highway 90 about 9 miles east of Bedrock, Colorado. U. s. Geological survey drilling was done on behalf of the Division of Raw Materials of the U. S. Atomic Energy Commission in the Jo Dandy area to find uranium-bearing deposits that would make new mines and to appraise the uranium reserves of the area.
