This report summarizes and updates the resource appraisal studies of the AEC that have been underway in the Grants Mineral Belt since 1961. The geologists involved in these studies have been W. L. Chenoweth, H. K. Holen, R. A. Laverty and D. L. Norton. The Grants Mineral Belt is a northwest trending zone, about 20 miles wide extending from Laguna to Gallup, New Mexico along the slope between the southern limit of the San Juan Basin and the northern limit of the Zuni Uplift.
