COLLATERAL CONSEQUENCES: THE LATINX IMMIGRATION EXPERIENCE

Latinx immigrants’ experiences with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) are studied to describe the impact of criminalization on Latinx immigrants and their friends and families. Drawing on qualitative data, this research explores how immigrants are detained and deported, their treatment while in custody, and the collateral consequences experienced by families and friends.
