Low molecular weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (LMW PAHs) are ubiquitous, prevalent, and understudied environmental pollutants that present a worldwide human health concern. The purpose of this dissertation project was to investigate structure activity relationships of LMW PAHs, alteration of critical cell signaling pathways, toxicogenomic responses, and the pro-inflammatory consequences of LMW PAHs exposure.
