Extracellular Matrix Metalloproteinase Inducer (CD147 or EMMPRIN), cyclophilin A (CypA) and interleukin-8 (CXCL8) are proteins implicated in the regulation of several different cancers and inflammatory disorders. In each case, the specifics of their activity and molecular interactions are not fully characterized and were thus a focus of these studies.
