Abstract

The artist's statement: ent art. Digital art in general is done solely on the computer so it can be a little limited. In creating digital artwork, it breaks way from the classic, hand drawn artwork that is done. Digital art has developed over the years as well from the decades of development involved. The biggest change I feel that has occurred is the process in which they are made. For digital artwork, my favorite part is the process. I read a book for my design class this semester titled Graphic Design Process: From Problem to Solution: 20 Case Studies where process was a huge part of what the result came out to. It involved creativity, imagination, brainstorming, and hard work. The thing that fascinates me about process work for digital art is that it can come from anywhere. It can be created by hand using unthinkable materials or it can just be simply made on the computer. Both processes are vastly different. One involves inspiration and the other needs patience. In explaining as to why process is my favorite part of making digital art, the reason is because it allows yourself to be inspired by all kinds of things you see in your life. I am a designer that believes in that a good process becomes a good result. Process to me allows the brain to go into overdrive when thinking of a good design for a specific project. All in all, digital art such as graphic design is a method of pushing a message to every person in this world. It involves long weeks of work, dedication, and originality. I think that these words make up a formula that are used to make better designs in the long run.
