Diary recording the daily events of Charles Lory's life in 1960. Most entries concern Lory's life in Fort Collins and Estes Park, Colorado. The year began with a flight from Pittsburgh to Denver so that Lory could attend Ralph Parshall's funeral on January 2. Lory had a mild heart attack in February, and Lory's daughter Anna experienced poor health throughout the year. Lory, Fred, and Anna decided to move back to Estes Park in February. In May, Lory, Fred, and Anna traveled to Arizona to visit the Glen Canyon Dam construction site. In September, Lory traveled to Irwin, Pennsylvania, and in October ...Charles A. Lory (1872-1969) was a professor of electrical engineering and the fifth president of Colorado Agricultural College (now Colorado State University). The collection contains both personal and professional papers and includes correspondence and letters, diaries and day planners, financial records, flyers, committee minutes, newspaper clippings, and photographs.
