October - video: "From Shenandoah to the Mountain West," Yosemite. December, wind gusts above 100 mph.

While she takes a class re-certifying her teaching certificate, Rolston prowls the Maine woods. Flora of Maine Sphagnum bogs. Rolston climbs Mt. Katahdin, also The Traveler.
